We have exciting news to share with the Clarington community! Each year at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Clarington, graduating Little Brothers and Sisters who are planning to attend post-secondary education have an opportunity to apply for a scholarship. The Deeley Family Memorial Scholarship provides $1000 in funding to contribute to the selected Little’s financial resources to pursue post-secondary schooling.
CONGRATULATIONS Bryson! The entire team at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Clarington are incredibly proud of our “littles” academic achievements, and we are thrilled to contribute to furthering their education through this award.
The Deeley Scholarship was started by brothers David and Dennis Deeley in memory of their parents, Dudley and Minnie. As part of their legacy, they make an annual donation of $1,000 available to our Little Brothers and Little Sisters who are embarking on post secondary activities. This enables Littles to continue their education and pursue their professional aspirations. Dennis has been a long-term Big Brother and champion for our agency for for over 30 years!
Bryson has been successful in his application and was presented with his scholarship by Dennis Deeley on July 26th. He had mom present and his dad present online to join him in the celebration and recognize his academic achievements.
