These are certainly challenging times. First and foremost, we at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Clarington want to extend our best wishes to all of our supporters and their families as everyone works together to combat the spread of COVID-19.
We have complied and are doing our part to follow all of the health and safety measures put in place to protect our Littles and their families, mentors, volunteers and staff. Our office is closed temporarily while we all work from home, but we are still serving the children and families in our community. We are encouraging our matches to continue to connect through digital tools during this time of isolation. Our matches are turning to us for some guidance, and they need us now more than ever.
That’s why we are reaching out today for your help. While we are optimistic, we are realistic as well. The highly-anticipated community events that many of you attend in May and early June as a way to support our organization may not be running this year. Instead, we are offering a fast, easy and convenient way for you to continue to support our programs through our BIG Boost monthly giving program, or a one-time donation.
Thank you for helping us through this difficult time of transition. It is paramount for us to seek new and innovative ways to ensure our matches continue to build and develop their relationships.
